At approximately 1:47 a.m., Deputy Moya and Deputy Montemayor conducted a traffic stop near the 2700 block of Noble St. on a vehicle that failed to use a turn signal and had stopped in the middle of the road.
The suspect had a strong smell of alcohol on her breath and was unable to provide her license. When asked to step out of the vehicle, the female was unable to maintain her balance and had slurred speech. Deputy Hicks arrived on scene and performed a field sobriety test. The suspect was detained and transported for further DWI investigation.
The suspect consented to a breathe sample and tested at nearly three times the legal limit.
The District Attorney’s office filed a charge for DWI against the suspect and she was transported to Harris County Jail for booking.
Great job Deputy Moya, Deputy Montemayor and Deputy Hicks for keeping our streets safe at night and for potentially preventing a car accident.
