Deputy Rodriguez was dispatched to the 6800 block of Harrisburg Blvd. in regards to a theft/shoplifting call. Deputy Rodriguez located the male suspect, who refused to stop and took off on his bicycle. Sergeant Reed assisted in the pursuit of the suspect before the suspect ran on foot. 

Deputies detained the suspect and charges for Theft Class B and Evading Class A were filed. The suspect was transported to Harris County Jail.

Suspect Wanted for Injury to Elderly, Assault of a Family Member Arrested

Deputy M. Gonzalez was dispatched to a residence on Telephone Rd. regarding a male suspect yelling at the reportee. The male suspect was on the reportee’s property and wanted the reportee to withdraw a witness statement from a previous incident.

Deputy Gonzalez located and detained the male suspect, who was found to have two open warrants for his arrest. The suspect was booked into Harris County Jail for his open warrants: Injury to an Elderly Individual and Assault of a Family Member/Household Member.

Deputies Arrest Suspect Tied to Multiple Burglaries

On April 15, 2024, Precinct 6 deputies arrested a suspect for burglary of a building. The suspect was also recognized as a potential suspect from a burglary of a different building in October 2023.

After further investigation, the suspect was identified as the same suspect from the October 2023 burglary. Charges for Burglary of a Building were filed for the October 2023 incident and the suspect was taken to Harris County Jail.

Deputy Vollenweider responded to a shoplifting call at 6828 Harrisburg Blvd. The shoplifting suspect was located, detained, and found to be in possession of stolen goods from multiple businesses in the area. The suspect also had Xanax pills and marijuana in his possession. 

While being transported, the suspect broke a camera system in the patrol vehicle and threatened a deputy.

Charges for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Theft, Criminal Mischief, and Retaliation Toward a Public Servant were filed and he was booked into Harris County Jail. The recovered merchandise was returned to the stores.

At approximately 8:40 p.m., Deputy Vollenweider observed a stranded vehicle near 5098 Gulf Fwy. The motorist was found to have 3 open warrants and was detained. Further investigation led to the discovery of marijuana, synthetic marijuana, baggies, and weight scales. 

Charges were accepted for Felony Possession of Marijuana and the suspect was transported to jail.

Female Suspect with Toddler in Vehicle Arrested for DWI, Over Twice the Legal Limit

Deputy Rodriguez was dispatched near 7604 East Fwy. regarding a suspected drunk driver. An off-duty deputy observed the female driver trying to park the vehicle unsuccessfully before hitting the gas station building.

During their investigation, deputies discovered multiple empty beer bottles, an open liquor bottle, and a toddler in the vehicle.

Deputies conducted a field sobriety test, which the suspect failed. The suspect was transported for breathalyzer testing and was over twice the legal limit.

Charges were filed for Driving While Intoxicated with a Passenger Under 15 Years Old and she was booked into jail.
