⚠️ Crime Report | 07-03-2025 📆 | 🌎 Fifth WardAt approximately 2:52 p.m., Deputy Vollenweider was dispatched to an assault call for service near 2821 Canal St. The complainant stated that she and the suspect were at the 2326 Nance St address when the suspect started to argue with the complainant. The suspect grabbed the complainant around her throat and grabbed his machete knife, identified as a 22-inch-long fixed blade machete, and stated he was going to "kill her". The complainant stated she was able to get away from the suspect to call police for help. The deputy observed red markings consistent with being strangled around the complainant`s neck. Deputy Vollenweider located the suspect at 2326 Nance St and located the 22-inch-long fixed blade Machete knife near where the suspect and the complainant were staying. While deputies attempted to detain the suspect, she kicked and scratched them during the encounter. Deputies successfully detained the suspect and transported her to Harris County Jail.
