At approximately 3:22 p.m., Deputy Espinosa was patrolling with Sergeant Garcia when he observed a person loitering at a business near the 3300 block of Telephone Rd.Deputies noticed a crack pipe next to the suspect and detained the suspect while they conducted further investigation.Deputies discovered crack cocaine, Xanax pills, and marijuana in the suspect’s purse. Sergeant Garcia was patrolling near the 4100 block of Telephone Rd. when he initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling with no front license plate. During the traffic stop, Sergeant Garcia observed a bag appearing to be crystal meth in the back seat of the vehicle.Deputy Cruz assisted at the scene and detained the suspect. The crystal meth was weighed at 29 grams and charges were filed with the District Attorney’s Office for Possession of a Controlled Substance. At approximately 3:20 p.m., Deputy Quintana was dispatched to a suspicious person call for service near 3333 Telephone Rd. Upon arrival, the deputy observed Offender #1 exiting the business with a shopping cart containing merchandise and passing all points of sale without paying. Upon seeing the marked patrol vehicle, Offender #1 fled toward a vehicle and entered the passenger side, where Offender #2 was located.
