At approximately 7:04 p.m., Deputy Espinosa was dispatched to a failure to stop and give information call at an apartment complex on Woodridge Dr.The victim stated the suspect had hit her car with a vehicle and refused to provide his information.Deputies spoke with the suspect, who showed multiple signs of intoxication and was given a Standard Field Sobriety Test. Deputy Cromartie responded to a shoplifting call at Gulfgate Center after a suspect stole multiple packages of oxtails and beef steaks valued at approximately $232.38. While searching the area, Deputy Cromartie located the suspect near the I-45 South and Woodridge Drive underpass. The suspect attempted to evade on foot but was quickly apprehended and detained. While on patrol, Sgt. Garcia observed two males sitting inside a parked vehicle with all lights turned off. Deputies detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. During the investigation, deputies recovered 683 ecstasy pills (113 grams), a loaded .380 handgun, and 57 grams of marijuana.
