Crime Report ā ļøMay 11, 2023 šHarrisburg Blvd. šPRECINCT 6 DEPUTIES ARREST SERIAL BURGLAR On April 24th, 2023 Precinct 6 received a call from Connieās Seafood (340 S 69th St, Houston, TX 77011) reporting that a burglary had occurred at the restaurant. Precinct 6 Deputy Talamantez arrived on the scene, and upon reviewing the security footage it was discovered that the suspect broke into the restaurant, stole approximately $6,000, left the building, re-entered the building, and stole an undisclosed sum of money from another area of the restaurant.Once Precinct 6 obtained the video of the incident, Precinct 6 Sgt. Alvarado was able to review the footage and obtain a clear image of the suspect and sent it out to our patrol deputies on May 10, 2023. On May 11, 2023, Precinct 6 Deputy Talamantez was patrolling near the 6700 block of Harrisburg Blvd, Houston, TX 77011 when he spotted a man matching the photo and description of the burglary suspect. Precinct 6 Deputy Talamantez detained the suspect and found Blank checks from two other local businesses on the suspectās person. Precinct 6 Captain Tran, Deputy Garza, Deputy Ipina, and Deputy Gonzales arrived on the scene to assist. Precinct 6 Deputy Garza contacted the District Attorney to file the charges while Precinct 6 Deputies Ipina and Gonzales transported the suspect to the Harris County Jail where he was booked. The District Attorney accepted the charges of Burglary and Felony Theft. The Houston Police Department was also able to close two open burglary cases in the area that were believed to be committed by the same suspect. They are in the process of filing charges. ā ļø Crime Report | š March 1, 2023 | š Fifth WardAt approximately 11:24 a.m., Deputy Macias was patrolling with K9 Ego when he observed a male exchange money with another male for marijuana. The suspect entered his vehicle, which was illegally parked, and Deputy Macias activated his lights. Upon advising the driver that he was illegally parked, Deputy Macias could smell a strong odor of marijuana. The driver was detained and K9 Ego located 32 individual baggies of marijuana inside the vehicle. A larger bag containing approximately 54 grams of marijuana was also found. In total, approximately ¼ of a pound of marijuana was located in the vehicle. The District Attorneyās Office accepted a charge for Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Manufacture/Deliver on the suspect. On December 12, 2022, the DNA sample helped identify the burglary suspect.The District Attorneyās Office accepted a Burglary of a Building charge on the suspect.
