Sergeant Hicks attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle but the driver sped up, reaching speeds of approximately 80 MPH while ignoring several stop signs and red lights. Several HPD units assisted in the chase, including HPD Fox air support. Deputy Macias and K9 Ego were patrolling near Hidalgo Park when Deputy Macias observed a vehicle parked in a handicap spot without any handicap identifiers.

K9 Ego assisted in searching the vehicle and helped locate 2.75 grams of Meth and three Percocet pills. The suspect also had a revolver under the driverโ€™s seat that was not holstered.

The District Attorneyโ€™s Office accepted charges for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Felon In Possession of a Firearm. The suspect was transported and booked into Harris County JPC.

โš ๏ธ Crime Report | ๐Ÿ“† September 17, 2022 | ๐ŸŒŽ Gulf Freeway At approximately 10:20 p.m., Sergeant Hicks was dispatched to an apartment building near the 6100 block of Gulf Fwy. in regards to a suspected intoxicated driver striking a parked vehicle.Upon arrival, the suspect had been detained by a security guard. Sergeant Hicks performed a Standard Field Sobriety Test on the suspect, who displayed multiple signs of intoxication. The suspect was transported to Harris County JPC for further testing, where he blew a .202 BAC and .196 BAC during his breathalyzer test.The District Attorneyโ€™s Office accepted a DWI Class A charge on the suspect. 09/09/2022, after an arrest at Settegast Park, personal belongings were left at the scene that included knives, possible drug paraphernalia and a dog. They were discovered the next morning by a citizen. Something was seen and something was said and I can honestly say something doesn't sit well with the way it was handled.

Suspect Charged After Shooting At Tow Truck Driverโš ๏ธ Crime Report | ๐Ÿ“† August 26, 2022 | ๐ŸŒŽ Irvington VillageAt approximately 4:20 a.m., Deputy Saldana was dispatched to Irvington Village in regards to a discharge of a firearm call. Deputies spoke to the victim who stated that he was attempting to tow an illegally parked vehicle when a male suspect opened the door of an apartment unit and started shooting at him multiple times. The tow truck driver was fortunately uninjured!Deputies spoke to a female that answered the door of the apartment unit and were given consent to look inside the unit. Deputies located the suspect and he was detained while deputies completed their investigation.Inside the apartment, deputies located a stolen handgun, a Draco, 146 grams of Marijuana, and 8.1 grams of pills containing Meth and MDMA.At the time of the incident, four children were living inside the apartment unit.The District Attorneyโ€™s Office accepted a 3rd Degree Felony Charge of Deadly Conduct and 3rd Degree Felony Charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance on the male suspect.
