At approximately 1:48 a.m., Deputy Acuna and K9 Beny initiated a traffic stop at the 6900 block of Woodridge Dr. on a vehicle with an expired registration tag.Deputy Acuna could smell marijuana emitting from the vehicle and the driver was unable to provide a driver’s license. With assistance from Deputy Campos, the driver and a passenger were both detained so further investigation could be conducted.Deputies located two firearms in the vehicle and one was determined to be stolen. Deputies also found marijuana in the vehicle.The District Attorney’s Office accepted a charge of Unlawful Carry of a Firearm on one suspect and the second suspect was charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm. The second suspect also had an open warrant for Robbery.Both suspects were transported to Harris County JPC for booking. On September 11, Precinct 6 deputies responded to a theft call at a pharmacy near the 1500 block of Lockwood Dr.
